Last week was Salone del Mobile 2023 - the world’s largest and most important furniture fair – and we were delighted to host visitors at our Milan gallery to showcase our latest innovations during Fuorisalone, a series of events held around the city during Salone week. And what better way to welcome visitors, than greeting them with our classic Westminster Feather sofa on the street outside - complete with bowler hats of course.
Located in Milan's elegant and ancient Brera district, our Milan gallery is operated by our partner Nomad Italia. Known as the artistic heart of the city, Brera stands out for its prestigious historic arches, enchanting winding streets, and upscale shops and restaurants. The location is the perfect reflection of Timothy Oulton's core values, combining tradition and authenticity with bold design to create unique, heritage-rich pieces united by a modern perspective. And with Milan being so intrinsically linked with fashion and design, if you want to be relevant in the design world, Milan is the place to be.
The gallery showcases some of our most iconic designs including the Shabby sectional sofa and Cabana Yeti chair (pictured).
We were delighted to welcome our partners from across the globe together with interior designers, press, and visitors to the show. Oli Oulton, our Creative Director and son of founder Tim Oulton, was also in attendance.
Champagne corks popped, magnificent cheese boards overflowed, and our DJ for the night played his set from the illuminated Rex dining table - handcrafted from sparkling prisms of optical glass and possibly the most glamorous DJ station in Milan. It was a wonderful atmosphere as everyone chatted noisily and soaked up the excitement.
With every Timothy Oulton design rooted in pure and authentic materials, we took the opportunity to talk to visitors on the topic of sustainable spaces, and present the innovative new Halodome Panorama by Timothy Oulton Studio.
Halodome Panorama is a modular, pre-fabricated timber dome that can be shipped anywhere in the world, showcased as a fully contained living space but adaptable for a multitude of uses. Read more about the Halodome Panorama here.
