Leather is a natural material so you should expect it to change over time. That's the beauty of leather, it interacts with its surroundings and becomes lived in. Like many materials, leather is sensitive to extreme temperatures so don't place your leather chair right next to a radiator, under a skylight, or next to air-conditioning source, as the leather's natural oils will dry out. All leathers will fade in colour slightly over time but will fade faster if placed in direct sunlight.

Timothy Oulton leathers are very unique. We only use high quality aniline finishes from the world's top 5% of hides Our leathers are not coated with chemicals and pigments so they will absorb marks and scratches over time, developing their own unique patina.

Leather is easy to keep clean

Our leathers are ethically sourced

Our leathers are a by-product of the meat industry, ensuring nothing goes to waste. We hand-select our hides from South America where the cattle roam freely on the Pampas. The hides are tanned in our own gold-rated sustainable tannery in Brazil and then transported to our workshop where they are finished by hand.
