Caring for Craftsmanship

Timothy Oulton furniture is built to be enjoyed and become part of your everyday life. With a little care and attention, your pieces can look just as good in years to come. Some of our materials such as reclaimed timbers and our hand-finished leathers will develop their own patina with age, enriching their character with time and use.

Leather

Timothy Oulton leathers are typically aniline, ensuring that the natural richness and feel of the leather’s original surface is maintained and celebrated as much as possible.

Moo & Sheepskin

Naturally durable, cowhide is a timeless material that preserves the original look of the leather, retaining the drawing path characteristic of each hair. No two cowhides are ever the same, making each piece of furniture authentically one-of-a-kind.

Textiles

From the sumptuous glamour of velvet to the relaxed feel of cool, fresh linen. Timothy Oulton textiles offer a luxurious and tactile experience, exquisitely crafted and beautiful to the touch.

Wood

Much of our wood is salvaged from former barns and distilleries in the UK, disused railways, old Chinese doors and decommissioned fishing junks. All the wood is de-nailed by hand and treated in the Timothy Oulton workshop.

Acrylic, Resin & Glass

Naturally durable, cowhide is a timeless material that preserves the original look of the leather, retaining the drawing path characteristic of each hair. No two cowhides are ever the same, making each piece of furniture authentically one-of-a-kind.

Marble

Marble is one of the most beautiful natural materials, used by the Romans and
Ancient Greeks for its crisp, clean and cool effect. Incredibly durable, marble’s
translucency gives a unique visual depth beyond its surface for those natural patterns
to shine through.

Metal

From the raw, industrial look of Spitfire to the faded
grandeur of Vintage Brass or the warmth and glamour of Rose Gold, our highquality metal finishes are all achieved using tried and tested methods by our master
craftsmen.

Lighting

Taking inspiration from Georgian England to Art Deco
to mid-century design, classic forms are reinvented with
fresh, modern energy to create an iconic collection of
bold and inspiring pieces.
