Step inside Gibson Garage

March 2024

Legendary guitar maker Gibson has just launched its first ever London showroom, furnished with their favourite Timothy Oulton pieces. Here's a backstage glimpse of the newly opened Gibson Garage London including the secret VIP bar, accessed through a door hidden inside a telephone box. With music icons Jimmy Page, Tony Iommi, and Sir Brian May celebrating the opening this March, this promises to be one very cool venue.

With a rich 130-year-old heritage and a passion for exceptional craftsmanship, Gibson shares many of Timothy Oulton's values...and the rebel in us resonates strongly with the whole rock 'n' roll ethos that Gibson guitars are synonymous with. Music is really important to us, and you'll hear a treasured selection of British rock on our playlists when you enter one of our galleries. So we were delighted when the Gibson team walked into our Bluebird flagship at Chelsea and fell in love with our designs. Our Bluebird team was on hand every step of the way, from choosing the right pieces and finishes for the space to the final installation.

Touted as the ultimate guitar experience, Gibson Garage London is the brand's first showroom outside of the US. Gibson say it's "a ground-breaking flagship store for all things Gibson Brands...With instruments at every price point, and Pros to guide you, the Garage is the place to launch your artistic adventure."

Inside the showroom, our Westminster Button sofa in proud Jack'dN Brok'n leather and the Aviator Blackhawk coffee table in Spitfire look right at home under the big neon Gibson sign, surrounded by guitars.

Accessed through a door hidden inside a telephone box, lies the secret VIP room. Once inside, our Shabby sectional sofa invites comfortable lounging together with the playful Shaggy sheepskin sofa chair. Playing card wall art adorns the deep purple walls with our original Ace designs, and the Inception infinity mirror adds a further bit of fun with its seemingly endless tunnel of lights pulling you in. An Odeon flushmount pendant and table lamp (not available in the US) inject some glamour and offer atmospheric lighting, inspired by Venetian glass prism chandeliers from the 1960s - a decade steeped in rock 'n' roll.
