Natural Stone Buying Guide

Material

September 2024

Our natural stone tabletops are made from marble, limestone, and slate, and feature across our collection of dining tables, coffee tables, and console tables. These stones take thousands to millions of years to form, born from the power of Mother Nature and imprinted with stories of the ages. Natural stone is intrinsically beautiful, strong, and durable, instilling the beauty of the natural world into your home.

BLUEMOON MARBLE

Bluemoon marble is distinctive for its earthy layers of deep browns, greys, blues and greens that run right the way through the stone. Marble is an entirely natural material, no two slabs will ever look the same, and the colours will also change under different light sources. Our Bluemoon marble tabletops are lovingly hand-distressed for a rugged aesthetic and make the whole table feel like a well-worn, aged piece. We sand the stone, chisel it, and then finally polish it to create a wonderfully tactile, pitted effect on the surface of the tabletop.

Limestone TABLES

Rugged and unrefined, limestone celebrates the honest beauty of the natural world. Limestone was used to build the Great Pyramid in Giza and the ancient Mayan civilisation in Mexico carved great sculptures from it. Our limestone has been hammered by hand across the entire surface to create a textured lychee finish, so called due to its resemblance with the pitted skin of the lychee fruit. It has an earthy beige colour that varies from piece to piece, with occasional small red veins found in the stone.

Slate Tables

Slate is formed over millions of years from layers of fine mudstone and sometimes volcanic ash. Our slate collection is a celebration of rugged and imperfect natural beauty. Finished with a water repellent coating.
