Timothy Oulton's Apollo represents the journeys that we go on through time and space in search of design inspiration. Built to the same scale as NASA’s Apollo 11 space capsule, and clad in polished steel panels, Apollo is a luxury, intimate lounge adaptable for many uses, from a private VIP seating zone to a workspace meeting capsule, or an indoor/outdoor dining pod.

Beautiful Materials
Each Apollo in the series is handcrafted in a range of interior fabrics.
Designed by Timothy Oulton Studio to showcase our unique craft
and creativity, Apollo uses the same materials as the Timothy
Oulton furniture collection. Every Apollo made to order is fitted
with an Odeon 5 Ring Flushmount Pendant and illuminated Alabaster
drinks table. The upholstery can be customized to suit a client's
bespoke needs using a range of authentic materials from leathers
and sheepskin to velvet and linen. Apollo No.17 shown above
features beautiful bespoke tufted wall panels upholstered in soft
velvet with a print inspired by Botticelli's Birth of Venus.
Pictured: Apollo No.1 showcased at the Milan Furniture Fair
features a tufted Tomahawk Camel leather interior with staircase
wrapped in luxurious woven leather and a central carpet of sheep
fur. Apollo No. 17 features a printed velvet interior inspired by
Botticelli's Birth of Venus, tufted leather seating in
hand-distressed Atlas leather, and woven leather floor. Apollo No.3
showcased at Design Shanghai is customised with Safari Black
leather upholstery underneath a canopy of Chinese embroidered red
silk. The floor is fitted with a vintage Persian rug.
Design Fact file
Apollo is entirely handcrafted, taking over 1,400 hours to make by hand in 5 different workshops, using simple tools and time-honoured techniques. 3 craftsmen work full-time at any given stage with supervision of our design engineer. Each Apollo has its own unique number plaque of authenticity.
External shell is available in 304 stainless steel as standard
for both indoor and outdoor use. This can be upgraded to 316
(marine grade) for outdoor areas subject to more intense weather
conditions (high humidity or coastal regions).
External shell is made in 8 segments for easier accessibility
and installation. Internal wall panels and banquette are also
broken down into separate modules.

Apollo can be modified for outdoor use
Installation (not included) requires 4 people and takes
approximately 1-2 days. A qualified electrician is also
required.
