Taking its name from the Latin word for 'unconquerable', the Invictus dining table's heroic form contrasts mighty oak with a luxuriously thick plane of marble. Vertical lines have been hand-chiselled along the entire peripheral edge of the marble, playing with texture and contrast. Our craftsmen then chip the edge in places using simple tools, to further create the look of an age-old table.
The reclaimed oak is around 100 years old, salvaged from old houses and rife with the character that only weathering and age can bring. Its provenance is lovingly preserved in the dowels, holes, nail heads, cracks, and splits present in the wood. Enduring mortise and tenon joinery is used to construct the timeless silhouette, a technique that has been used in woodwork for thousands of years.

Be inspired
Watch our master craftsman create the Invictus tabletop. The lines along the marble edge are carefully chiselled and simple tools are used to chip the edge in places to further create the look of an age-old table. The marble is then polished smooth.
Made using simple tools
Designed to celebrate visual and tactile contrasts, the Invictus dining table features distinctive chiselled lines created by our master craftsmen, running all the way along the edge of the marble tabletop. Our craftsmen then chip the edge in places using simple tools, to further create the look of an age-old table. This blends beautifully with the characteristics of the reclaimed timber frame, with its cracks, splits, and knots testament to its heritage.
