Inspired by the heritage of equestrian pursuits, the Saddle
chair evokes the spirit of freedom and the harnessing of power that
a saddle represents. Complete with actual stirrups on each side,
the chair is designed with a fiberglass frame to create the sleek
and dynamic shape, with the chair back contoured like a real
saddle. Upholstered in Timothy Oulton's hand-distressed aniline
leathers, quilted for comfort on the seat and back with cowhide
accent options on the front and sides. A matching quilted footstool
is also available.
Using materials inspired by a traditional horse's saddle, the
Saddle chair is meticulously made by hand over many hours. A
tribute to the sporting elegance of pursuits such as polo,
dressage, and racing, mixed in with a hint of the Wild West.
