Inspired by our founder Tim Oulton's beloved A-frame glass
acrylic desk used in his family home in France, reinterpreted in
reclaimed timber and marble. Lending a strong architectural
presence with its crisp angles, the A-Frame coffee table is
handcrafted from century-old oak salvaged from old buildings and
constructed by hand with durable mortise and tenon joints.
Hand-applied marble pieces are assembled on the tabletop to create
a striking eye design, inspired by ancient Italian paintings. The
humble trestle table shape has a rich history of use from schools
to science labs to decorating tables to banqueting tables, with its
simplicity of design enduring through the

MOSAIC EYE TABLETOP
INSPIRED BY ANCIENT ITALIAN PAINTINGS
The A-Frame Mosaic coffee table's eye-catching mosaic tabletop
is made by hand using pieces of natural stone. Varying colours of
marble are used to create the different colours in the design, with
no other paint or colouring applied. The mosaics are hand applied
one by one over many hours.
Reclaimed Oak
Our solid reclaimed oak repurposes all the different structural
parts of the original building - from beams to floorboards to
trusses. Its provenance is lovingly preserved in the dowels, holes,
nail heads, cracks, and splits present in the wood - which all
speak of its storied past.
