The design industry’s most anticipated event in New York kicked off this month at the prestigious New York Design Center, home to Timothy Oulton’s brand new Manhattan gallery.
While the April chill was still lingering outside, things were hotting up in our Amsterdam gallery as Dutch model and blogger Jair Zino got into character for a suave and sophisticated photo shoot packed with tales of the modern gent.
With a penchant for tailor-made clothes and an appreciation for the finest handcraftsmanship, whether it’s jewellery, accessories or furniture, Jair has amassed quite a following in the Netherlands due to his impeccable eye for style. Partnering with some of the most prestigious international names in fashion, beauty and design, Jair has a creative flair for bringing stories to life through the lens. He calls them “collaborations of thoughts, dreams and actions.”
With stories so integral to Timothy Oulton’s collections, we were excited to welcome Jair to our gallery on Amstelveenseweg to whip up some drama. The story of our designs always starts with that first spark of inspiration and it continues with the effort and detail of the handcraftsmanship that goes into making each individual piece. Jair’s inspired images, captured by photographer Michel Molder, tell the next chapter in this story.
From the quintessential bowler-hatted gentleman choosing his next literary classic from the Heroic bookcase, to the relaxed, well-heeled chap contemplating his next move on the Bilbao chaise longue, to the fellow who has just arrived home from a black-tie do to relax in the Viscount William armchair with a glass of his favourite poison, Timothy Oulton’s collections proved the perfect casting.
