It was Galileo Galilei who said that “wine is sunlight held together by water”, so what better way to celebrate the summer than with an evening dedicated to wine at our Bluebird gallery.
Around 100 interior designers, architects and stylists arrived to discover the newly refreshed gallery and were given a unique opportunity to speak to Tim himself. Talking to the group about his love of antiques, Tim explained the concept of borrowing ideas from the past and reinventing them into something new for the modern home, keeping the design relevant. Discussing his passion for handcraftsmanship, Tim explained that every piece is authentically made by hand, something which few designers offer in this day and age.
Guests made their way around the gallery discovering the newly featured collections. Particularly exciting is the array of pieces from the 2016 Collection which are now in store. Highlights include the sumptuous Nirvana leather sectional, Cabana easy chairs, Surface sofa in new soft Whispy linen and the sensorial Hudson bar and cabinetry collection, clad in a patchwork of rich Fury leather.
As the crowd explored, opening cupboard doors, sinking into the new sofas and feeling the new leathers and fabrics, they enjoyed some tasty food and drink. Champagne was enjoyed and a delectable grazing table featured mouth-watering British fare including scones with cream and jam, beef Yorkshire puddings and cupcakes adorned with bowler hats and Union Jacks. A local singer and guitarist provided the perfect background to a wonderful evening.
