It was a crisp, cold winter evening as the sun went down over Seoul, but things were about to heat up, as we celebrated the grand opening launch party of Timothy Oulton’s first gallery in Korea.
Timothy Oulton would like to wish everyone luck and good fortune as we gallop towards Chinese New Year – the Year of the Horse, we pay homage to this new year, with a display featuring an antique papier mache horse at our new Timothy Oulton gallery in St Francis Street, Hong Kong.
According to the Chinese zodiac, people born in the year of the horse are animated and energetic: they love to be in a crowd and are the life and soul of the party with their deft sense of humour.
The horse has served alongside soldiers and kings in great battles with strength and courage under fire. As Winston Churchill commented: “There’s nothing better for the inside of a man than what is found on the outside of a horse.”
The Timothy Oulton Saddle chair harnesses the power and energy of the horse, celebrating those elegant sporting pursuits like polo, racing and hunting. Fitted with stirrups, the chair evokes the red-blooded spirit of freedom and adventure that a saddle represents.
So saddle up for a great Year of the horse and we wish you Kung Hei Fat Choy – Happy New Year!
