Interior designers live, breathe, and bleed style, so it’s always exciting to show our latest collections to a small crowd and feel the heart rates rise and the energy start pumping around the room.
Our St. Francis Street gallery was all about that class and sass on November 26th when we hosted a wine and cheese night for our honorary ambassador and managing editor of Sassy Media Group, Dervla Louli, along with a very Sassy Crew. Sassy Media Group owns Sassy, an online resource for women known as the “girl’s guide to everything Hong Kong,” as well as Sassy Mama, a go-to guide for mums in Hong Kong. Among the attending bunch were Sassy and Sassy Mama’s talented contributors as well as some of Sassy’s “That Girls”, intriguing, inspiring “women to watch” featured on their site. Now, that’s a whole lot of sassy in one room, and in one paragraph.
The gals chatted and caught up over wine and heaping trays of scrumptious cheese and crackers while they handled and admired our luxe leather creations on display all around them. And while there were lots of oohs and aahs to be heard while the girls looked over all of the beautiful pieces, the star of the night seemed to be the Belle Shoulder bag with its ability to unhinge on each side and expand into a larger size. Everyone agreed that its practical aspect combined with its sassy looks made it one hot bag. And these girls know what’s hot.
The ever stylish founder of A Pair and a Spare and “That Girl”, Geneva Vanderzeil was there mingling and perusing the accessories along with other “That Girl” attendees, hard core fitness pro, Trish Yap, founder of Bikini Fit and PR powerhouse Genavieve Alexander, founder of Geneavieve.co.
As the night winded down, some of the ladies took the party to the Viscount William sofa and around the Axel coffee table where they continued to tell stories, share advice and laugh while the Gyro Crystal Chandelier dazzled above them. And to top off the fabulous evening, there was a draw where one lucky girl scored a pair of tickets to Clockenflap, Hong Kong’s annual music and arts festival where Timothy Oulton styled the Cathay Pacific VIP lounge with our luxe leathers, timbers and drapes.
