It was a crisp, cold winter evening as the sun went down over Seoul, but things were about to heat up, as we celebrated the grand opening launch party of Timothy Oulton’s first gallery in Korea.
We kicked of the holiday season in Hong Kong with a celebration of our global partnership with concierge service and luxury lifestyle management, Quintessentially, at their very festive British-themed Christmas party.
Guests were taken on a journey through time, back to the traditional Christmas that many have perhaps read about in the tales of Charles Dickens.
The Space on Hollywood Road, located in the heart of Hong Kong, was transformed in to a winter wonderland, capturing all the magic and elegance of a Victorian Christmas. Guests were welcomed in by the sweet smell of spices and the soft sounds of carol singers. A wonderful white covering of snow led the way up to the ‘Old Town Square’, into a charming vintage-style Christmas market.
The bustling bazaar was filled with the aroma of comforting British fare, including luxury mince pies and warming mulled wine, served from old wooden carts. Guests meandered through the ‘square’ and into the cosy ‘Home of Q’ lounge, where they relaxed by the candle-lit fireplace and enjoyed the atmosphere.
As excited chatter and Christmas cheer filled the room, there was not a ‘bah humbug’ to be heard. As Dickens remarked: “There is nothing in the world so irresistibly contagious as laughter and good humour.
