It was Galileo Galilei who said that “wine is sunlight held together by water”, so what better way to celebrate the summer than with an evening dedicated to wine at our Bluebird gallery.
Last week we hosted a special event with our friends at Nobleman magazine to celebrate both the launch of Timothy Oulton’s 2019 Collection and Nobleman’s latest issue (Issue No. 9). We were delighted to welcome Nobleman cover star, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, aka anti-hero Jaime Lannister from Game of Thrones, to join us in the celebrations at our Los Angeles gallery.
Nobleman magazine is aimed at the modern man, focusing on style, travel and culture – sharing common ground with Timothy Oulton’s sophisticated yet relaxed aesthetic and adventurous take on life. Having partnered on previous events and projects, including furnishing Nobleman’s Newport office in Orange County, it was a pleasure to work with founders Doug and Lydia McLaughlin once again and welcome guests to enjoy a hosted experience at the gallery.
Our L.A. home has seen some great parties over the years since opening in 2008 at HD Buttercup, and this was another unforgettable night. As always, the guest list was an eclectic mix, with customers, notables, friends and celebrities enjoying the captivating surrounds, good company and convivial atmosphere.
Really great hosting should get the heart racing, and it always begins with a warm welcome. Guests arrived to a candlelit path, beckoning them towards the sensory overload waiting on the other side of the doors. Inside the gallery’s richly textured interior, replete with our latest sensorial collection, conversations were sparked, cocktails were shaken to perfection, and our famed cheese table was a piece of theatre in itself. The DJ kept the mood lively, cloaked in pure sparkle from our lighting gallery as he entertained the crowd. But the most important ingredient of course was the people, including the charming Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, and it was the intoxicating atmosphere of people enjoying themselves that made the night one we’ll remember for some time.
