Introducing Hestia

– 26 Feb. 2018 –

Senses swirl at the Hestia Dining table, which adds a heady sense of occasion to every mealtime. Like a piece of abstract art, each one is completely unique, entwining a jigsaw of rich, black marble pieces with golden veins of liquid brass. Named after the Greek goddess Hestia, which translates as “hearth” or “fireplace” – where traditionally families would gather and enjoy time together in the home.

Built with finesse, Hestia is made by hand with meticulous attention to detail. Craftsmen start by carefully hand-selecting pieces of black marble to form the patchwork top. Using a laser, the marble is then precision-cut, etching a pathway of veins, like an artist preparing their canvas.

Once the pieces are assembled within the frame, liquid brass is painstakingly applied by hand. A golden river of brass fills every open vein and crevice, creating new veins between the marble pieces alongside the natural patterns. The table top is finally polished for a smooth, flush surface with a beautiful shine, contrasting the richness of the marble with the brushed brass frame.

Hestia is a new addition to the Age of Elegance collection, inspired by the glamour and excitement of the Jazz Age. Hestia is only available in a limited edition of 50 pieces.
