It was Galileo Galilei who said that “wine is sunlight held together by water”, so what better way to celebrate the summer than with an evening dedicated to wine at our Bluebird gallery.
Timothy Oulton Honorary Ambassador and CEO of Quintessentially Lifestyle, Emma Sherrard Matthew, welcomed in the Year of the Sheep with a special Chinese New Year party, hosted in the cosy surrounds of Timothy Oulton St Francis Street.
130 guests were welcomed into the three floor gallery in Wanchai’s creative district, to celebrate the most important event of the Chinese calendar. The Year of the Sheep, according to Chinese tradition, follows a tumultuous Year of the Horse and welcomes a calmer road ahead. In 2015, the sheep is coupled with the element of wood which promises to unleash the sheep’s creative character. Well we’re all for letting loose – creatively speaking – so it sounds like a pretty good year to us.
In celebration of this abundance of upcoming creativity, the Timothy Oulton gallery was filled with a well-travelled crowd of friends who couldn’t wait to dig into fresh figs and cupcakes as they toasted the New Year with champagne. Quintessentially Lifestyle and Timothy Oulton have been global partners for some time now, with a shared passion for detail and a highly personal approach, so it was a real pleasure to welcome CEO Emma and her group to the gallery.
Guests got cosy on the Viscount William and Reggio Highback sofas and chilled out under the mellow glow of Gyro & Crystal lighting. Rustic charcuterie platters were spread out temptingly on the Axel table, a somewhat modern take on the traditional whole BBQ pig, but then we do like to put a contemporary twist on the classics. It was a great way to welcome the New Year and get to know some new friends.
Kung Hei Fat Choy to all.
