After moving into their new headquarters in downtown New York, premier men’s magazine GQ wanted a lounge area that reflected their motto “look sharp and live smart”. Cue Timothy Oulton and Homepolish…
We’ll be donning our bowler hats and best tweed to celebrate this year’s Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride on Sunday 28th September. Hong Kong’s dapper chaps and chapesses will be causing quite a spectacle with a genteel ride through the city on their classic-styled motorcycles, finishing with a champagne finale and a loud ‘bravo!’ at our St. Francis Street gallery.
Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride started in 2012 and has since spread to around 200 cities across the globe. This year around 20,000 smartly dressed gentlefolk will take part in the worldwide ride to raise awareness and funds for prostate cancer.
Now we like to think ourselves as rather distinguished at Timothy Oulton, with our British heritage and penchant for bowler hats and afternoon tea. We constantly celebrate the modern gent and we’re rather partial to a bit of retro cool, so needless to say DGR struck a chord with us. We’ll be putting on our monocles and pressing our cravats to support this year’s riders, led by the gentlemen from Angry Lane Motorcycles. We’re treating the first 60 of them to special gift bags and offering a chic pit stop along the way to refresh in style.
Join us for a glass of champagne at our St. Francis Street gallery as this year’s riders finish in polite formation. Flat caps are optional, bow ties are welcome and gentlemanly good manners are compulsory.
From 22nd September to 12th October look out for our 10 super cool limited edition New Yorker satchels, customized exclusively for the ride and available at our Hong Kong galleries only. A percentage of proceeds will go to DGR’s prostate cancer charity.
