This August, Timothy Oulton at Coco Republic was proud to be part of Melbourne Indesign. Now in its 10th decade, Indesign brings together local and international design houses in a series of events across Asia Pacific. It prides itself on a boutique and bespoke feel so Timothy Oulton was the perfect choice to host one of the events in Melbourne.

The gallery at Coco Republic was transformed into a London tea parlour to welcome guests with quintessentially British hospitality. High tea was served with traditional scones and cucumber sandwiches and a designer tea menu from LMDT by Santa Vittoria included a Royal Tea cocktail with gin infused Earl Grey.

Crowds gathered to hear TV presenter Darren Palmer introduce his new book Easy Luxury; exploring ways to style with timeless and sophisticated flair, followed by an exclusive signing a full week before the book’s release date.

Guests sipped from coronation teacups as they relaxed in comfort on the Bensington Union Jack sofa and lounged on the Scruffy armchair. Live music provided the perfect background to an already energetic space as guests immersed themselves in the innovative design and craftsmanship surrounding them.
