Objekt magazine has been a leading authority in interiors, design and architecture for 25 years. So we were thrilled to celebrate the launch of their very first Asia edition with some of Hong Kong’s most sought after interior designers in the comfort of our newly outfitted gallery.

Objekt was founded by internationally renowned photographer and designer Hans Fonk, with its documentary-style articles exploring the best examples of ‘living in style’ across the globe. Like Timothy Oulton, the magazine brings together a unique fusion of modern and classic styles, showcasing timeless design of the highest quality. Hans and Tim met earlier this year when Objekt visited the Timothy Oulton showroom, and a bond was formed between two like-minded creatives.

To celebrate the launch of the magazine’s Asia edition, around 40 of Hong Kong’s hottest interior designers were exclusively invited to our St. Francis Street gallery in the trendy Star Street precinct of Wanchai. The invitation already looked like a cover from the magazine, and the crowd was excited not only for the grand unveiling of the publication, but also to discover Timothy Oulton’s latest collections, recently arrived in store.

Guests were welcomed with a chilled glass of champagne on the ground floor, as they made themselves at home on the Tribeca Tufted sofa, brand new to the gallery. With the new magazine in hand, the crowd explored the three storey space, sinking blissfully into the Wave linen sofa and enjoying cheeseboards that had been flown in from Paris especially for the event.

Editor-in-Chief Cora Hui spoke about Objekt’s excitement of branching out into Asia and toasted the new venture. On partnering with Timothy Oulton, Cora explained: “We were taken away by its richness in styling and clear fondness for antiques. I remember Tim told me that he believes in ‘more is more’, which shows in his and his team’s creativity. It is the time for timeless creation, that’s what we are here for.”
