It was a toast to the modern gentleman this April with our first ever Gentlemen’s Evening of the year. A select group of Hong Kong’s most luxurious brands got together under one rather stylish roof – Timothy Oulton St Francis Street – and invited some fine fellows along for an evening packed with gentlemanly pleasures; from whisky and cigars to traditional wet shaves and an on the spot suit styling.

Over 130 city chaps arrived to loosen their ties a little and relax for the evening with all three floors of our Wanchai gallery brimming with treats from our discerning partners. Bespoke tailor Il Sarto cast their keen eye with an onsite made to measure service while Bremont showcased their luxury watches. The barber’s chair beckoned as Gentlemen’s Tonic performed cut-throat shaves and premium concierge service Quintessentially Lifestyle disclosed their insider tips on Hong Kong’s hotspots.

We were temporarily transported to the vineyards of Europe with an interactive tasting from The Experience Company while Pomegranate Catering tickled taste buds with a cookery demonstration and Pierre Hermé indulged guests with their delectable French chocolates and macarons.

With all these displays of masculinity amongst the leather furniture, the gallery hinted at those traditional private Gentlemen’s Clubs; established in the 1800s for the British upper classes where men could relax, unwind and socialise. The smell of rolled tobacco filled the air with a fine cigar selection from Davidoff, complimented by the rounded tones of The Glenlivet whisky swirling in guest’s glasses as they chatted.

The excitement climaxed with the grand prize draw. Exclusive prizes from all partners included a Timothy Oulton Mars MK3 chair, the newest model of our iconic design which has recently landed in store, soon to be seated comfortably in the home of our winning gent.
