Timothy Oulton Amsterdam recently welcomed a select group of aficionados from the watch industry to celebrate the newly revamped 0024 Horloges magazine. In the cosy surrounds of the Amstelveenseweg gallery, the crowd relaxed over champagne and canapes to experience the perfect blend of tradition and innovation in both the furniture collections and the exquisite timepieces covered in the magazine. Around 50 people joined the fun and relaxed evening, including many Amsterdam socialites and Dutch actor Huub Stapel.
The new 180 page magazine is a reinvention in both content and design. Starting afresh in 2017, 0024 Horloges is a bi-annual publication that has the premium appearance of a coffee table book but with the journalistic content and qualities of a magazine. Dedicated to the highest calibre watches and the idea that “every watch has a story to tell’, the magazine’s launch was perfectly suited to the Timothy Oulton gallery, with each Timothy Oulton collection having its own story of how it came to be – from its vintage inspiration to the authentic materials used in its handcraftsmanship.
The magazine was unveiled in dramatic form by owner Harry Wijnschenk, with a huge print of the front cover wowing guests. Many people settled comfortably into a handcrafted leather sofa to peruse the glossy new editions with a glass of champagne close at hand – the ultimate in relaxed sophistication. It was a great opportunity for guests to explore the latest Timothy Oulton designs including the super-slouchy Alto sectional sofa and Causeway extending dining table. Excitement built for the lucky draw and one of the guests took home a Timothy Oulton Annabel overnight bag, crafted in luxurious Bull leather. It was a great atmosphere and the perfect setting to launch the new look of 0024 Horloges.
