31 Aug. 2016 - Events
On 20th August, we excitedly launched our first ever gallery in India. The black carpet was rolled out, lined with fresh rose petals, as we invited guests to enter the world of Timothy Oulton, New Delhi.
This March, Singapore Design Week attracted delegates from across the world for Asia’s first ever Maison et Objet show and the International Furniture Fair Singapore, putting Singapore firmly on the map as a global centre of design innovation. The Timothy Oulton gallery at Curio was delighted to host an intimate event to connect with interior designers and press who were in town for the exhibitions.
Timothy Oulton maintains a strong commitment to connect and collaborate with like-minded people within the design world. This was shown at Maison et Objet Paris recently with the launch of ‘Timothy Oulton Projects’ which provides a platform for deeper engagement with interior designers and projects teams, particularly in hospitality.
Our Singapore gallery welcomed around 50 guests to the evening including Timothy Oulton himself, who engaged avid listeners as he talked passionately about the designs. Partnering with Curio, the Timothy Oulton gallery offers a truly authentic experience when people walk through the door. Cosy yet daring, sophisticated yet playful, unique pieces reflect the vibrant and eclectic vibe of this cosmopolitan city, known for its mix of cultures and languages.
Iconic pieces include the slouchy Shabby sofa and the military-inspired Blackhawk collection in Black Spitfire, while curious vintage treasures include a classic old motorcycle ready for its next adventure.
The evening was filled with energy both from the animated chat and the cutting edge furniture, proving that people, lifestyle and design are intertwined.
