Vintage Patchwork Persian Rug

Vintage Patchwork Persian Rug

Hand-picked from the town of Tabriz in western Persia, famous for the exquisite designs of its rugs. The patterns are called Lachak Turanj, often inspired by the hand-painted covers of ancient books. Our Vintage Plain rugs feature patterns which symbolise the moon in the centre and fish scales on the sides, representing the fish rising to the top of the water at midnight to admire the reflection of the moon.
