Gentlemen’s Club
The Gentlemen’s Club rooms are reminiscent of a traditional 19th century English gentlemen’s club – an exclusive enclave where men would gather after a hard day’s work. Encapsulating the heritage and refined opulence of these historic clubs, the rooms feature classic design details with accents of steel finishes for a contemporary touch.
The Gallery at Timothy Oulton is a collection of truly intriguing and diverse art pieces. Well-known, established pieces are not sought – instead, the intent is to source the extraordinary, the astonishing, and the unexpected. Pieces are selected to fascinate and inspire, and most often a piece is found serendipitously – tucked away in a basement or attic just waiting to be discovered. The result is a line of collectable reproduction art inspired by vintage images, paintings and photographs that have been sourced from flea markets, auctions and personal collections all over the world.

Timothy Oulton, Founder and Creative Director of his eponymous brand, is a master of reinvention and a pioneer of design.
Tim’s story dates back to his childhood days in Manchester, where he grew up surrounded by antiques from his father’s business, Halo Antiques. Tim embarked on a career in the furniture industry in 1985 after leaving school and entering the family’s antique business. Originally, Tim never planned to build his own career in the industry. Upon leaving school at 18 with no job prospects, Tim took his father’s advice to try his hand at antiques. At first, he thought he would only do the job for a year or so and then move on to becoming a banker, however, he soon caught the furniture and designing bug.

The Trunks
The Timothy Oulton Trunks are a salute to antique luggage and travel goods used during a period of grace and romance. Each trunk requires numerous labour hours to complete, from nailing and polishing studs to exterior finishes and detailing and are a testament to everlasting charm and enduring beauty.
Tomcat Chair
Part of the aviation-inspired Aviator range, this chair draws its inspiration from a fighter jet, the Grumman F-14 Tomcat. The chair’s aerodynamic curves are hugged in riveted aluminium, while the seat and back are swathed in ribbed leather with the worn-down softness of a vintage bomber jacket. This chair was awarded the “Most Innovative Product Design” at the Luxuria 2010 Awards.
